Music Therapy(II)

Abstract
The author reviewed articles on the psychological, and and physiological effect of music for the purpose of providing the theoretical basis of music therapy in general.
The human response to music seems to be both- psychological and physiological and we can hardly separate them each other. It appears that :whole human experiences can¢¥ be expressed through music and it¢¥s performances since it has relation with the human personality in the three different levels, that is, id, ego and superego.
The psychological reaction" to music `may be considered from both individual and grou one. In case of individual reaction to music communication, identification, association, selfexpression, selfunderstanding and self-realization. appear to be main psychological effects among others. The group reaction maybe greatly -influential especially when the music can offer outlet in groups and also the music itself has, the strong power of integrity producing harmonious and oderly behaviors in groups. The... music therapy, therefore, may be ideal tool for the effective group psychotherapy since it..allows individual freedom to express within the control of the groups.
On the physiological effect of music we can estimate -physiological reaction to vibration and it is worth applying to music therapy. Certain physical reactions to music are natural and may be expressed as involuntary reflex phenomena. We should¢¥nt miss the fact that there is similarity between the musical rhythm and the rhythm. in the human body and mind.
